HER AGAIN
2 AM

Your safety and privacy

Some of us share a phone, a laptop, an email account or a home with the person we're hurting over. HER AGAIN was built with that in mind.

Quick exit

Every page has a Quick exit button. Pressing Esc twice does the same thing. It sends you straight to a weather website and removes this page from the back button.

Quick exit can’t erase your browser history, history synced to other devices, or anything a monitoring app has already recorded. If someone may be checking your device, these help:

  • Use a private or incognito window, which doesn’t keep history after you close it.
  • Use an email address only you can open. Your sign-in links are sent there.
  • Use a device you trust, such as a friend’s phone or a library computer, if you think yours is being monitored.
  • Turn on two-step verification in Settings so a code from your phone is needed to sign in.

What we protect

  • Your journal, check-in notes, reflection conversations, milestones and trusted contacts are encrypted before they’re stored, and never shown in our staff tools. Access to the encryption key is limited to the systems that run HER AGAIN.
  • You can use a nickname. Nothing you share during sign-up is ever shown to other members.
  • Notifications are discreet by default: “You have a new update”, never the details.
  • We never sell your data, never use your private writing for advertising, and never use it to train AI models.
  • You can download everything or delete your account at any time from Settings.

If you are in danger

HER AGAIN is not an emergency service and doesn’t have staff on call. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. The 2 AM page lists free, confidential crisis and violence support lines, and works without an account.
